United Way of Midland County is encouraged by the way our community has rallied to support their annual community campaign. At the end of week 14, they are reporting pledges totaling $4,606,052, or 98% of their $4.7 million goal.
There’s still time to join in and make a difference. Every dollar matters and goes back to community programs in the areas of Youth Success, Health and Household Stability.
“We’re so grateful for the way our community comes together to support our neighbors,” shared Holly Miller, President and CEO of United Way of Midland County. “The dollars we raise during the annual campaign provide vital programs and services that our neighbors count on. It’s encouraging to see how people have rallied in the last remaining weeks to ensure the needs are met. While we’re very close to reaching our goal, there are still critical dollars left to raise. Remember that every gift, no matter the size goes to help our neighbors.”
While United Way has made great progress with their annual campaign, they are calling on the community to help them cross the finish line and ensure vital programs and services are available for neighbors who need help.
Supporting the annual campaign helps ensure individuals and families have healthy meals, reliable and affordable childcare, safe housing, access to mental health care, job skills assistance, reading tutoring and many other health and human service needs.
Now is the time to make a personal commitment to join United Way in changing lives. To help donor dollars make a greater impact, the Board of Directors is offering a matching gift of $20,000. Donations now through the end of the year will be matched dollar-for-dollar, while the matching funds are available.
