Thousands of gifts with bright colors bows, with busy elves working tirelessly. It sounds like a scene from the North Pole, but it was right here in Midland County.

The United Way of Midland County Sharing Tree program helps our community fill the local holiday wishes of those in need and strives to ensure that every person feels the touch of our caring community this holiday season.

“Thousands of gifts were distributed this week,” shared United Way Executive Director Ann Fillmore. “It was touching to see the incredible generosity of our community as these gifts made their way to individuals and families throughout Midland County.”

It is not too late to be a part of the magic. You can help guarantee that every child in our community feels the joy that Christmas can bring. Tags are still available at United Way of Midland County at 220 W. Main. Gifts will continue to be accepted at United Way through December 19th.

Be sure to wrap or place the present in a gift bag so that it can be opened during gift-check in. Securely tape the tag to the gift and return your gift.

For those who want to help, but can’t get out to shop, you can make a monetary donation to United Way and one of the many volunteer shopper elves will buy a special gift on your behalf.
