United Way of Midland County is thrilled to announce that Tim Lacey, Global Vice President and General Manager at DuPont, will be leading the way as the 2024 Community Campaign Chair.
“Tim has so much passion for our community,” shared Holly Miller, President and CEO of United Way of Midland County. “We’re honored to work alongside him as this year’s campaign chair. He understands the community issues we’re facing and has the drive and commitment to help us raise the dollars needed to support the many vital programs that United Way funding is invested in. We’re so grateful to have him join us and look forward to seeing him inspire our community to join him in making a difference.”
Tim has been involved with United Way for many years as a donor, volunteer and advocate. When recently asked to share his “why,” he stated, “A decision to invest in United Way begins with the word ‘together.’ To me, it underscores my view of United Way as an enabler of community programming that puts solutions into action and changes lives.”
Lacey continued “United Way provides opportunities for all of us to lean in with our heads, hands and hearts to create meaningful impact. The breadth of its engagement invites diverse thoughts, experiences and backgrounds to creatively solve problems. Engagement with United Way reminds me that no gift is too small, and that it’s in the collective generous spirit that we see impact.”
As Campaign Chair, Tim will lead a group of volunteers who will be serving on the Campaign Cabinet to attain the annual fundraising goal.
United Way shared that this is the first Campaign Cabinet since 2019 and they are excited to have such an inspiring group of volunteers joining them to reach their goal.

The United Way Campaign Cabinet volunteers provide strategic leadership and work alongside United Way staffers to passionately promote the impact of United Way and their partner agencies.
“I am so encouraged and excited to work with these inspiring individuals this campaign season,” shared Lacey. “Working together, we can expand United Way’s outreach in the community, spreading awareness about our programs and the resources available to those who need it.”
The United Way of Midland County campaign will kick off on September 9, 2024, and will run through the end of the year. Each year, hundreds of organizations and individuals invest in our community through the United Way campaign.
“Every dollar donated to United Way makes a significant difference in our community,” shared Lacey. “Imagine giving up just one cup of coffee a week. That $5 can provide support to vital community programs, such as after-school tutoring for children, meals for families, and transportation to necessary appointments. Your small sacrifice can bring about big changes, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
