COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVES

Collaboration is in our DNA. Our mission is to unite our community to improve lives. Creating change in our community requires working together.

We listen. We use the Harwood Public Innovation model to capture the aspirations and dreams of our citizens. This includes convening small group meetings around specific topics, going door-to-door and conducting mini surveys at community events. We theme what we hear and feed it back to make sure we got it right.

We convene. We have a rich history in bringing stakeholders around issues to learn, collaborate and chart a collective way forward. Recently, this includes work around Food Security, ALICE, Youth Prevention, Housing and Covid-19.

We’re part of community tables. Our staff and leadership serve on many committees, coalitions and planning bodies. From high-level community groups like the Community Success Panel and Health and Human Services to the Midland Continuum of Care planning body and the Mental Health work groups, we strive to listen and keep our finger on the pulse of our community.
