School children K-12 and those attending preschool programs such as Head Start from low-income families living in or attending school in Midland County are eligible to receive a free set of new clothing at Christmastime. Clothing includes jeans, a sweatshirt, a t-shirt, two pair of underwear, two pair of socks, a hat or headband and gloves or mittens.
This year all applications must be completed and returned by Friday, October 26, 2012. Applications can be returned to the Department of Human Services or mailed to: Community Christmas Closet, PO Box 2255, Midland MI 48641.
From September 4-October 26th applications are available at the Midland County Department of Human Services office window or at local schools.
Distribution of clothing will be December 3-6, 2012 at the King’s Daughters Home in Midlnd, located at the corner of Rodd St. and Nelson St. Parents will receive a letter in late November notifying them of their appointment time.
