For A Brighter Tomorrow will host its 2nd annual Walk for Addiction on May 20 at Midland Towne Center, 1543 Washington St., beginning at 10:15 a.m.   Registration begins at 9 a.m.

For a Brighter Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization that assists recovering substance abusers overcome obstacles that interfere with a successful recovery from the disease of addiction and provide hope for a bright future.

“We really welcome people from all walks of life because addiction has touched so many,” said Lori Wood, co-founder of the organization. “We need to show our community that there is no stigma, there is no shame and there is a great deal of support for those who are willing to accept it.”

The walk will be 2 miles, beginning at Midland Towne Center and continuing down the Patrick Road trail.
