Young Leaders United

Educate. Inspire. Impact

The mission of Young Leaders United is to encourage the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism among emerging community leaders in their 20s and 30s. Members of Young Leaders United are compassionate and generous individuals and couples committed to change in their community, who are willing to:

GIVE: $250 or more annually to United Way (can combine with a spouse’s gift). Those who donate $500 or more are also recognized as Young Leadership Circle members.

ADVOCATE: Help us spread the word. Agree to share your passion for United Way with five friends.

VOLUNTEER: Have a direct impact by committing to at least fifteen or more volunteer hours per year with a recognized community agency.


Young Leaders United is led by an Executive Council which is comprised of a strong and innovative leadership committee. The Executive Council members are the planning and programming body, whose connections in the corporate and civic community and whose knowledge helps steer and define the organization.

Young Leaders United & MyPros Fusion Event | October 3 | 5-7pm | Eastman’s Forgotten Ciders

Join YLU and MyPros members for a night of networking and a mini volunteer project. Help assemble crockpot meals for the families of West Midland Family Center that will be used at the YLU Healthy Family Crockpot Cooking Class this October.

Healthy Family Crockpot Cooking Class Project | October 25 | West Midland Family Center

YLU is teaming up with the West Midland Family Center, Hidden Harvest, and the Bridge Food Center to teach families to create healthy and affordable homecooked meals. Each family will receive a crockpot to take home to continue what the learn.
