The mission of Young Leaders United is to encourage the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism among emerging community leaders in their 20s and 30s. Members of Young Leaders United are compassionate and generous individuals and couples committed to change in their community, who are willing to:
GIVE: $250 or more annually to United Way (can combine with a spouse’s gift). Those who donate $500 or more are also recognized as Young Leadership Circle members.
ADVOCATE: Help us spread the word. Agree to share your passion for United Way with five friends.
VOLUNTEER: Have a direct impact by committing to at least fifteen or more volunteer hours per year with a recognized community agency.
Young Leaders United is led by an Executive Council which is comprised of a strong and innovative leadership committee. The Executive Council members are the planning and programming body, whose connections in the corporate and civic community and whose knowledge helps steer and define the organization.
March is Reading Month
Thursday, March 21 | Plymouth Elementary
Early grade reading and mentoring are key to ensuring students are successful throughout their lives. Join Young Leaders United, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the students of Plymouth Elementary to celebrate March is Reading Month with lunch and one-on-one reading time. Lunch will be provided and each child will receive a free book. Co-workers and friends welcome!
