Young Leaders United

Educate. Inspire. Impact

The mission of Young Leaders United is to encourage the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism among emerging community leaders in their 20s and 30s. Members of Young Leaders United are compassionate and generous individuals and couples committed to change in their community, who are willing to:

GIVE: $250 or more annually to United Way (can combine with a spouse’s gift). Those who donate $500 or more are also recognized as Young Leadership Circle members.

ADVOCATE: Help us spread the word. Agree to share your passion for United Way with five friends.

VOLUNTEER: Have a direct impact by committing to at least fifteen or more volunteer hours per year with a recognized community agency.


Young Leaders United is led by an Executive Council which is comprised of a strong and innovative leadership committee. The Executive Council members are the planning and programming body, whose connections in the corporate and civic community and whose knowledge helps steer and define the organization.


Community Garden Planting Day | May 16

Help provide fresh free produce to our neighbors all summer long by joining YLU for the 2nd Annual Community Garden Planting Day. Fruits and veggies from the six gardens will be distributed in neighborhoods around Midland County by the new Midland Fresh Mobile Farmstand. Green thumb not required. Kids and future Young Leaders welcome!
