REGISTRATION FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL COMMUNITY COLORS 5K BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 2ND!
Community response to this exciting new community event was overwhelming last year. To ensure the safety of all participants and to have a fun and successful event, we will limit participation to 3,000.
Join United Way for the second annual color race that celebrates healthy living and the power of giving, advocating and volunteering. The fun begins on September 13th at 10:00 a.m., starting at Northwood University and following the Rail Trail to the Tridge.
Each person begins the race in a white LIVE UNITED t-shirt and will be doused with color along the way as they learn about our community. This community- and family-friendly event is more about celebrating and less about your finish time. With no winners or official times, the Community Colors 5k caters to everyone. You can run, jog, wheel or even push strollers through.
Don’t want to run? We encourage everyone to meet at the Tridge to welcome runners and walkers at the finish line with a burst of color. Bags of color will be available for sale so everyone can join in the fun. Or you can join the volunteer team. We will also host a FREE Kids Color Obstacle Course for kids ten and under that takes place at Northwood University from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on September 13th. Preregistration is required to receive an event t-shirt.
Registration includes an event t-shirt, a water bottle and color to throw! Giving back is fun; $5 of every individual registration and $10 of each family registration will be invested in building a stronger community.
Race registration is limited to the first 3,000 individuals. Register early–last year’s event sold out!
