Christmas Around the World
How long have we celebrated Christmas? Does every culture have a Santa Claus? What is special and unique about Christmas in Germany, Poland, Japan or any other country? Come learn about the way cultures around the world historically celebrated the season. We’ll explore customs, symbolism, the art and music of Christmas and more with Constance Dullock. Constance was a teacher for 38 years, during which time she studied historical accounts of Christmas around the world and incorporated the information into her social studies classes. Each year, her students presented a program for their parents centering on this topic. She has a few personal stories to share as well, including being married to Santa Claus!
