Selecting Fruits & Veggies at Their Peak
Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner. An abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables will soon be filling stores, farmers markets, roadside stands and gardens. Quality, fresh produce can be quite a pleasure. Most of us, however, have experienced discovering the fruits and vegetables we brought home were either prematurely picked or overly ripe, and spoiled on the inside. May’s Healthy Hints will present guidelines for selecting produce at its best and tips for storage, so you can make the most of the harvest.
